Dylan Newcomb - The 16 Ways
As we are called to move forward in our lives, our attention is naturally drawn to those places that seem imbalanced or stuck. Things change, but we don’t always change with them. We get used to doing things a certain way, then our path calls for another. We struggle. The 16 Ways is an easy, yet powerful body-mind practice which greatly increases the flow in our life by stimulating movement between opposite energetic poles on the levels of mind, body, and emotions. With a specific combination of breaths, body movements and thoughts, the whole system is brought into coherent movement - areas of resistance start to flow; and new levels of energy and synergy naturally emerge.
For our next meeting on Tuesday, May 12, we will move out of our heads and into our bodies with another extraordinary integralist, Dylan Newcomb. Dylan is a Julliard-trained dancer and composer who has developed a powerfully integrative physical and subtle body practice, The 16 Ways, that is based on the Chinese principles of Yin and Yang, cognitive and developmental psychology, as well as several personality typologies. During this experiential evening, you will be introduced to The 16 Ways through lecture, demonstration, participation and movement. Dylan will share the fascinating story of his journey from professional dancer to recognized authority on the bioenergetics of consciousness.

Spiral Dance Experience
Take an embodied journey through the evolution of consciousness! Level I training in The 16 Ways
You will learn about and explore energy through each of The 16 Ways. Using body movement, thought, breath and emotion, you will learn to take in, manage and give out energy with skill, joy, and purpose. The ‘16 Ways Polarity Assessment Instrument’ will be given to discover how our habitual feelings and behaviors are resulting from our energy patterns, and we will practice using the polarities of The 16 Ways to explore and enhance our relationships. This workshop is open to all ages, and assumes no prior knowledge, physical training or movement ability.
