Living On the Edge of Evolution:

A half-day experiential seminar with Craig Hamilton and Terry Patten

12:30 to 5:30 PM, Saturday, February 20

Northbrae Community Church, 941 The Alameda, Berkeley

In this experiential seminar, we will invoke sacred space, touch in to the experience of Integral consciousness, and reach out to connect with each other in the first “baby steps” that convene truly evolutionary culture — something that is just beginning to emerge in our time.

We’ll do conscious physical exercise that will ground us in our bodies. We’ll engage in structured conversations with each other through which we’ll open our hearts. And in meditation, we’ll tune in to grace and transcendental inspiration. We’ll invoke a field of “collective intelligence” that emerges from deep practice.

Altogether, in the spirit of spiritual celebration, we’ll forge a connection with a power far greater than ourselves, and learn what it’s like to let it flow through our bodies, minds, hearts, and our relationships with each other. This half-day seminar will set the stage for an experiment in learning to live the lives of “evolutionaries” — committed participants in a cultural experiment that is lit by Spirit, and inspired by the passionate impulse of evolution.

Come together with us in conversation and movement, creating a whole body and whole being experience that launches a collective cultural experiment at the cutting edge of our individual and collective evolution.

We live in a time when conscious evolution is possible — not only collectively, but also personally. Evolution has speeded up, and we are called to participate. We can align our lives to the transformational urgency of our time, and in the process we can connect with a glorious and unlimited source of spiritual inspiration. This means that our spirituality can support not only our personal growth, but also the transformation of our larger world.

In this experiential afternoon, evolutionary pioneers Craig Hamilton & Terry Patten will share how their own decades of practice have given birth to a radical new approach to spiritual life that “transcends and includes” both the “gradual” and the “sudden” approaches to enlightenment.

We will experience what a truly “integral” and “evolutionary” awakening is like, and how we can integrate the need for broad-based, gradual self-development with the call for a radical and immediate leap beyond the separate sense of self?  Join us as we explore what it means to awaken and practice in an integral and evolutionary spiritual community.
