Berkeley Integral Practice Sangha
Facilitated by Terry Patten
A group of committed practitioners is now meeting twice a month in Berkeley, guided by Terry Patten, who was a member of the core team that developed ILP and who co-authored Integral Life Practice with Ken Wilber. This group is committed to cultivating awareness, fitness, depth, and openness and to building the conscious “we-space” and personal relationships that an Integral perspective makes possible. Shared practice is the most powerful basis for conscious community.
What Is Integral Life Practice? ILP is a condensation and distillation of hundreds of practices from across cultures and time – the high-leverage essentials for rapid growth, fully compatible with virtually any religious tradition or belief system. The purpose of Integral Life Practice is not to perfect yourself, but to transform yourself — into what you already are.
ILP is…
· The ultimate in cross training — working synergistically on body, mind, spirit, and shadow.
· Modular, allowing you to mix and match practices in specific areas or “modules.”
· Scalable, adjusting to however much—or little—time you have, down to 1-Minute Modules.
· Customizable to your individual lifestyle—you design a program that works for you, and adapt it on an as-needed basis. Integral, based on AQALTM technology, an “All Quadrant, All Level” framework for mapping the many capacities inherent in human beings.
The Integral Practice Sangha engages members cognitively, emotionally, physically, interpersonally, and spiritually.
· Members design their personalized state-of-the-art Integral Life Practice
· Members focus on their own unique transformational trajectory (not “one size fits all”)
· They enjoy the accountability and inspiration a community provides
· Targeted and transformational assignments prepare members for each meeting
· Sessions focus on experiential exercises
· Group sharing and practice
· The emphasis is on personal, intimate, vivid engagement
Meeting times: First and third Thursday evenings of each month, from 7 to 9:30PM.
